We used to create software that empowered people. We used to create the common good through software. We built tools that served a purpose, that allowed people to get what they wanted out of life done quicker. We used to focus on “do no evil.” Somewhere along the way, we came to appreciate that “attention is all you need.”

The beauty of software is that it frees up attention. It gives us time to explore so many things in life, within and outside of software. That is what intelligence should make possible.

Right now, we are creating a level of intelligence that has never been seen before, and yet we are falling short at making it humanity-centric.

We do not believe AI labs are serving this purpose.

AI should serve the user, not the companies.

Models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Grok and Gemini, are all heavily restricted. Biological research, cybersecurity research, and creative work that draws on copyrighted material run into censorship.

The tools that used to and could expand what people can research, build, and imagine are constrained by what the companies behind them are willing to allow. Contained by the heuristics and ethic of people who are tasked with holding a higher moral ground not for their company but for humanity.

An artist steals. An artist is inspired by the world. A creator with the heart of an artist takes in the entire world and produces net new value from everything around them.

We believe software should make room for that freedom to explore, transform, and create.

Being able to engage with AI that creates more efficiency, streamlines work, and gives freedom to the user is not just a matter of B2B sales. It is not another software-as-a-service business built around creating shareholder value.

It is about giving people back their time and freedom.

That is why we are building an obliterated router: to make powerful, censorship-free models accessible to the people who want to use them. To those who want to experiment. To those who feel restricted, censored, and delayed on birthing products they love.

We believe that serving those models to users matters for humanity. This is software. This is cyberpunk. This is the spirit of creating software that is actually user-aligned.

We have the tools to make this possible today. They are just not freely accessible. The invitation to hack the planet has been left unanswered for too long. That is why we are building what we are building.
